Post-Fukushima builders: revive an old idea?

January 31, 2012

More elegant than this, of course

Here’s a thought that didn’t quite fit into that last post.

Builders: post-Fukushima, do you think the future may be building underground homes for those who can afford them?

As fallout accumulates at the surface, subterranean homes just might sell.

So think new. Imagine a home that doubles as a fallout shelter.

Maybe it’s time to recycle that old concept from the 1950s … with cozy refinements for the 21st century.

Any ideas?
