Budget-conscious

What's up in Richmond?

Did you see this from Virginia, about the baby “incompatible with life”?

http://fredericksburg.com//News/FLS/2012/022012/02282012/685614?rss=local

Tragic though the whole story is, please focus on that first paragraph, about House Bill 62.

Pay special attention to the words “a gross and totally incapacitating physical deformity or mental deficiency.”

Remarkable timing, isn’t it?

Less than a year after Fukushima, reports of deformed infants are arriving in disconcerting numbers.

Here’s a sample: http://enenews.com/radioactive-cesium-causing-holes-hearts-children-video

Now think. Does someone in Richmond expect lots of babies to be born soon with “a gross and totally incapacitating physical deformity or mental deficiency”?

Sick and deformed kids showing up now probably mean many more are to come.

State funding to end such pregnancies could add up to big money. Was this bill a money-saving measure?

As it happens, the troubled North Anna nuclear plant is in Virginia too, and … well, read on:

All in Virginia. Let that thought sink in.

Coincidence?

Or is the Commonwealth practicing the same “cost-effective” thinking that Japan applied to Tokyo? (See earlier post at https://thebrinydeep.wordpress.com/2012/03/03/a-chilling-word-but/ for details.)

“Incompatible with life.” Not a bad description of our era.
